I CAME ACROSS THIS QUOTE AND IT INSPIRED THIS DIGITAL ART:
about this image: I started with an old photogram I did of myself circa 1976 when I was studying photography. I stuck my head into the space between the enlarger and the photo paper and voila… my first Selfie.
I scanned the old print and imported it into my iPad & drew on it using Adobe Ideas. You can see that version of this image in my poem “When I’m Able”
Then I imported that image into Aperture to crop & make a jpeg file (Adobe Ideas only produces .pdf and it loses the shape of the border around the image). Then I inserted “picture” into a Microsoft Word document and copied & pasted other image elements and the quote. I had to place some empty “black boxes” of text to cover some unfortunate placement of some light leaks on the black background that were interfering with the text. Jeeesh… I really miss having Photoshop. Had to get creative! Final image is a screen capture of the Word Doc – Done on my MacBook Pro laptop.
