A few more pages from my sketchbook…
The doodles materialize most evenings as I pretend to watch tv or while listening to music. I’m so used to it that I feel something is missing if I don’t have a pen in my hand.
Drawing takes my mind off my chronic pain by giving my brain a workout, even though I think I’m “mindlessly” doodling!
I hope you get a moment of mindlessness as you browse through these sketchbook pages…
These drawings are in a Moleskine sketchbook measuring 5.25′ x 8.25″ (13.3 cm x 21 cm).
I use a variety of black pens including Uniball Signo, Sakura Color’s Micron series, and Pilot V Razor Points in varying point thicknesses… lately I’m on a Micron kick.
Do you sketch, doodle, paint, collage, or draw?

Like your Black and Whites. 🙂 You familiar with an italian cartoonist named Hugo Pratt?

Hi and thanks for likiing. I hadn’t heard of Hugo Pratt, so I looked him up. What a fascinating, full and successful life he had! Not without some tough times, but he seemed to have made the best of it. Great work. Thanks for telling me about him.

Deb, Your doodles are first rate! The complexity and symmetry is amazing. After I viewed your previous doodles a while back, I found some very similar multi-sized art projects at Walmart for kids. They have black felt borders to help the young ones stay in the lines and use a kind of paint by numbers approach. I got about thirty of these for my granddaughter and we spend hours together painting them with colored markers. Your inspiration has given a seven year old girl a love of art. We are both hooked on your unique style and it’s really fun to try it ourselves. Thanks Deb!!
