I hate it when that happens…
a new, but unfinished painting: acrylic & spilled INK! on watercolour paper
Of course I snapped a pic before attempting to clean it up! I was more worried about my new iPhone6 than my painting… the black ink seeped into its case. It was a close call, but luckily no damage… just to the case that I cracked in my haste to release the phone.

When viewing art we rarely see the dramatic effects everyday occurrences have on the finished product. I like what you said about asking the painting what it wants to be. It appears your new iPhone is smitten already and I’m sure the painting and iPhone will not forget that first encounter. 🙂

I’m excited about the crazy way this painting is revealing itself. It would not have happened if the ink didn’t spill!

I’m sure you will have a brilliant solution. I thought maybe you were going to work the blackness into the painting somehow. I’ll look forward to the post Debra. Glad you saved the phone. 😊

It actually wiped off easily, and I repainted the blue area. BUT, today I worked it to death and I’m not sure it’s going to work out. However, I won’t give up. Working with acrylic on paper can be very forgiving. If you don’t see a version of this painting posted then it’s a bad sign… lol… (thanks for commenting) xo

Whatever I come up with… I promise to post! I need to let it sit for a day or two (that’s HARD for me!)… then I’ll ask the painting what it wants to be. Or something like that. 🙂
