This is one of three pieces I’m working on today.
For this one (I’ll call it “rings” for now), I painted several layers of acrylic paint on a piece of watercolour paper , scratched some texture into it, then added more layers of paint. There is no plan, I’m just letting it come together. It wanted to sit for a couple days, so I let it snooze, then today with fresh eyes I added the golden/rusty colour, some pencil and finally the black ink.
I have no idea where I’m going with it – or rather, where it will take me, but I can usually coax something out of paint on paper…
