This diptych is of stylized aerial views of Joshua Trees…

Lately the way I’ve been painting is to just start, and let a painting develop. And… this is also the case with these two paintings. I only dug up a photo of a Joshua Tree as an example after I’d painted these. They are truly abstractions from my imagination.

  1. Thank you AnnMarie for reblogging this! The studio photos, painting process photos, and paintings themselves simply leap off the pages! I shall be following you, as I do AnnMarie. If you’re so inclined, drop by my blog — although not a painter in the traditional mediums, I like to think I paint a few pictures with my words — in my rejuvenatement period (not retirement). This is just a stunningly beautiful blog!!!

I’d like to share this talented woman’s amazing paintings. For many years, this artist suffered debilitating back pain. Deb is persevering and through nothing less than dogmatic determination, she is creating exceptional works of charismatic color and breathtaking beauty. It is quite clear, her love and appreciation of the natural world, as these passions explode on canvas before our very eyes. And you’ll also find, Deb is a super cool motorcyclist and Siberian dog lover too.
